Oak Moss, as the name suggests, is a kind of moss or lichen which grows on the branches of Oak tree. Oak is distributed all over Europe and North America and so is Oak Moss. While most of the European nations collect this moss, the essential oil from this moss is extracted mainly in France and it is the biggest producer of Oak Moss Essential Oil. Other than France, there are very few nations like Bulgaria and USA who produce this oil. The scientific name of Oak Moss is Evernia Prunastri. The essential oil of Oak Moss is extracted first by solvent extraction method, which first yields a concrete, and then by vacuum distillation method. The chief components of Oak Moss Essential Oil are atranorine, chloratronorine, delta usnic acid and evernic acid.

The health benefits of Oak Moss Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties like anti septic, demulcent, expectorant and restorative.

Anti Septic: Septic mostly happens to wounds, but is not restricted to it. It can affect the soft and vulnerable internal organs such as food pipe, inner ears, colon, urethra, urinary tracts, kidneys and even nerves and others. Newly born babies are most susceptible to septic since their skin is not strong enough to counter these infections. The symptoms of septic are acute pain in the affected places or in the whole body, cramps, convulsions, swelling with redness, stiffness in the muscles and joints, abnormal behaviour and even death, in worst cases. This Essential Oil of Oak Moss has anti septic properties and there are two good things about it. It protects from septic by creating conditions in the body unfavourable for the microbial growth and by eliminating the microbes already present in the body or on the wounds.

Demulcent: Demulcent means soothing. It is soothing to skin and keeps it smooth and soft by maintaining the moisture and oil balance of the skin. Similarly, it has soothing effects on the digestive system and gives relief from scratches, wounds, inflammations and irritations in the oesophagus, stomach and the intestines caused due to acidity, highly spicy food or ingestion of some irritating or poisonous stuff. It has soothing effects on the mucous membrane and the excretory tracts which suffer scratches, inflammations and irritations due to constipation, acidity, spices and wounds due to indigested substances and hard bowels.

Expectorant: The process of loosening the hard phlegm or catarrh accumulations in the various parts of the respiratory system, such as bronchi, trachea, larynx, pharynx and lungs and removing them out of the body is called expectoration. It gives immense relief from congestion in the chest, breathing troubles, asthma attacks and coughs. The agent that does expectoration is called an expectorant. Our Essential Oil of Oak Moss is an expert expectorant. It pulls out phlegm and catarrh and gives relief from above troubles.

Restorative: One that restores something back to its initial or original condition is a restorative. Oak Moss oil is one such restorative. It diminishes the effect of damages done by ageing and other daily wear & tear taking place in the body by speeding up their healing and restoring them back to their health. So it restores complete health as well as the immune system.

Other Benefits: It is used in soaps, skin care products, sprays and many such cosmetics mainly due to its anti septic and demulcent properties. This oil is also known for its fixative values.

Neroli Oil

Approx. Price: Rs 201 / 10 mlGet Latest Price
Neroli essential oil is a very precious oil produced from blossoms of the Bitter Orange tree. These blossoms are small, white and very fragrant. Our Neroli Oil is steam distilled, not solvent extracted. The high cost is a result of requiring 1 ton of orange blossoms to produce 1 quart of oil. Neroli is named after Anna Maria de La Tremoille, Princess of Nerola (we're not making this up!) who first introduced the fragrance to Italy.

The essential oil is both a sedative and overall tonic to the nervous system, and can be beneficial for most stress-related disorders of an emotional origin. The oil has been said to treat heart palpitations, relieve insomnia and reduce nervousness. Neroli's calming effect can be tried by deeply inhaling the aroma, rubbing a few drops on the solar plexus, diluting in Jojoba oil and wearing as a natural perfume, or diffusing in small amounts. Neroli is considered one of the most important aromatics for aromatherapy treatment for anxiety, and depression resulting from stress and anxiety.

Melissa essential oil (also known as Lemon Balm) has a great variety of possible effects. The word 'Melissa' is Greek for 'Honey Bee', Melissa having been planted near bee hives to produce the most delicious honey. Melissa oil is considered one of the most powerfully medicinal essential oils in all of aromatherapy, with a wonderfully pleasant sweet, herbaceous aroma.

A great deal of oil sold as Melissa today is actually a blend of lemongrass and citronella oils - 'true' Melissa oil has its own unique aroma and properties. Melissa's high cost is a result of needing 3.5 to 7.5 tons of plant material to produce 1 pound of essential oil. The resulting oil from this sweet-smelling herb is a pale yellow liquid with a light, fresh lemony aroma. Melissa oil offered at exceptionally low prices is likely to be adulterated in some way, and will not have the medicinal properties of the true essential oil.

Melissa was called the 'elixir of life' by Avicenna, the ancient Roman physician. The herb was associated particularly with nervous disorders, the heart, and emotions. Melissa was used for anxiety, melancholy, and to strengthen and revive the vital spirit.

Approx. Price: Rs 1,139 / 100 mlGet Latest Price
Additional Details:

Cypress essential oil is distilled from the leaves of a tall evergreen tree with slender branches and a statuesque conical shape. Growing to a height of 25-45 meters (75-147 feet), the Cypress bears small flowers and round brownish-grey cones or nuts. The essential oil is produced by steam distillation from the fresh dark green needles and twigs. Native to Southern Europe, Italian Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) has spread to North Africa and North America and is cultivated in France, Spain, and Morocco.

In terms of Oriental medicine, the principal action of Cypress oil is to enliven and regulate the flow of blood. Part of this action depends upon its restorative, toning effect on the veins, a by-product of its overall astringent quality. The ability of Cypress oil to harmonize the blood makes it important oil for menstrual difficulties. It is one of the primary essential oils for both dysmenorrhoea (menstrual pain) and menorrhagia (Excessive menstrual bleeding). The essential oil may be combined with Clary Sage, Lemon, and Geranium and applied as a salve or ointment to varicose veins. It also blends well with Helichrysum, for an extra-potent formula for muscle and joint aches and pains.

Additional Details:

Dill Essential Oil is extracted through steam distillation of dried seeds and whole plant of Dill or Anethum Sowa, as it is scientifically called. The basic components of Dill Essential Oil are D-Carvone, Dillapiole, Eugenol, Limonene, Terpinene and Myristicin. Since ancient times, Dill seeds are associated with magical healing powers. The health benefits of Dill Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties like anti spasmodic, carminative, digestive, disinfectant, galactagogue, sedative, stomachic and sudorific.

Following are the medicinal properties of Dill Essential Oil:

Anti Spasmodic: Spasm can be very irritating and in extreme cases, can even be fatal. Spasm is a case of unwanted and abnormal contraction, either in respiratory tracts, or in intestines, or in muscles or in nerves, which may result in non stop coughs, hiccups, cramps or muscle pulls, convulsions and epileptic attacks. In extreme cases, a patient may have acute pain in intestines or may run out of breath in cases of coughs and hiccups and may even collapse. Such attacks of spasm can be pacified with the help of Dill Essential oil. It has a relaxing effect on nerves, muscles, intestines and the respiratory system and pacifies spasmodic attacks, giving quick relief.

Carminative: Dill Essential Oil can efficiently handle gas trouble. It does not only help remove gas from intestine, but also stops further gas formation.

Digestive: Dill seeds have been in use as a remedy to facilitate digestion. This digestive property of Dill seeds comes from its essential oils. Dill oil promotes digestion by stimulating the secretion of digestive juices like gastric juices, acids and bile in the stomach. Its aroma also stimulates the salivary glands and thus aids in the primary digestion of the food in the mouth. Lastly, it stimulates the peristaltic movement of the intestines and helps the ingested food to advance
through them, thereby facilitating digestion again.

Disinfectant: Dill Oil is also known for its disinfectant properties. Added in food stuffs, it protects them from getting spoiled from infection by microbes. Consumed, it cures microbial infection in colon, urinary tract, kidneys, genitals etc. Applied externally, it protects skin and wounds from infections and helps them heal quickly. It can be used in dilution for applying on scalp to protect hair from various infections, lice etc.

Fennel seeds have been in use in culinary and as a mouth freshener since long. They are also used for medicinal purposes. These medicinal properties come from the various components of the essential oil of Fennel, which are Alpha Pinene, Anisic Aldehyde, Cineole, Fenchone, Limonene, Myrcene, Methyl Chavicol and Trans Anethole.

It is a biennial, aromatic, stout, glabrous, 1.5 to 1.8 mtr high. The ripe fruit is small, oblong, cylindrical, 6.8 mm long, straight or slightly curved, greenish yellow, deeply furrowed, 5 ridged and having agreeable aroma. Fennel oil has a herby, slightly spicy smell, much like aniseed and it is clear in viscosity. The health benefits of Fennel Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties like anti septic, anti spasmodic, aperitif, carminative, depurative, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, galactagogue, laxative, stimulant, stomachic, splenic, tonic and vermifuge.

Anti Septic: Essential Oil of Fennel has certain compounds which contribute to its anti septic properties. It is found effective in preventing incisions from being septic or getting infected from tetanus, particularly after surgery, cesarean deliveries and other wounds.

Antispasmodic: Spasm is unwanted and abnormal contraction, in respiratory tracts, or in intestines, or in muscles or in nerves, resulting in continuous coughs, hiccups, acute pain and pulling sensation in intestines, cramps or muscle pulls, convulsions and epileptic attacks. If not treated in time, a patient may have acute pain in intestines or may run out of breath in cases of coughs and hiccups and may even die. Fennel Essential oil has a relaxing effect on nerves, muscles, intestines and the respiratory system and pacifies spasmodic attacks, giving quick relief in above situations.

Garlic oils were the first of its ingredients to be discovered and manufactured about 70 years ago. Later, other properties and ingredients came to the forefront offering great health benefits. Stabilized Allicin (an organic compound) found in garlic is a unique extract and exhibits antibacterial and antifungal properties. This organic compound is found particularly helpful in reducing symptoms of Atherosclerosis, a disease affecting arterial blood vessels. Other health benefits of Garlic Oil include reduction of fat deposition and blood sugar, besides being an antioxidant having anti-thrombotic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Garlic oil is prepared in two ways. One way is to steam crush garlic and capture the oil that gets released as a result of the allicin breaking down into sulphides. To obtain about a gram of garlic oil, nearly one pound of garlic needs to be processed. The other way is to macerate garlic and keep it in incubation for about 24 hours in vegetable oil and remove the pieces of garlic from the vegetable oil after 24 hrs are over. Garlic macerate oil is rich in ajoene, having a natural antibiotic property and is especially useful in reducing the platelet aggregation.

Keeping in mind the exact demands of our valued customers, we offer an extensive assortment of Grapefruit Oil.

Features:

  • Accurate composition

  • Nice fragrance

  • Long shelf life

  • Various forms available

  • Easy to use

Additional Details:

Grapefruit essential oil is cold-pressed from the rind of ripe grapefruit. It is a yellow liquid with a fresh, sweet citrus aroma, considered uplifting and refreshing. Like essential oil of Lemon, grapefruit is cooling, cleansing, and decongestant, and can be beneficial for an overheated liver and sluggish lymph system. Further, the pleasing aroma has laboratory-confirmed appetite reducing effects.

Note that while grapefruit is found in several shades (cultivars): White, Pink, Ruby Red, etc., the quality of the fruit and the care taken in harvesting and pressing of the oil seems to play a much more significant role in the final essential oil than the cultivar of Grapefruit. This is a white grapefruit, which some folks don't expect to have a rich sweet-tart scent, yet nothing could be further from the truth. We have been told some of the world's finest Grapefruit can be found in Israel, and it reflects in the quality if this oil -- it is absolutely the best Grapefruit essential oil we've ever come across, by far.

Like many of the citrus oils, it has a unique 'fat dissolving' characteristic. This is the essential oil most noted for use in reducing cellulite, (it can be used by itself, or in a carrier and massaged into those areas) and can be included in massage blends for this application. It has been shown in laboratory studies to increase the metabolism of adipose tissue (fat cells, and specifically 'brown' fat cells.) It is also very useful for cleansing oily skin and helping with acne due to its astringent nature. Key natural constituents of the oil are Limonene and Myrcene.

Additional Details:

Hyssop Essential Oil is a colorless liquid with a sweet, camphoraceous top note and warm-spicy herbaceous undertone. The herb has been traditionally used for perhaps a thousand years for its antiseptic, disinfecting, and anti-infectious properties.

Hyssop is considered one of the strongest anti-viral essential oils. It contains natural molecules from nearly every class of compounds found in therapeutic essential oils, yet it is still quite gentle. It is one of the oils recommended for treatment of herpes simplex, and can work effectively for many other viral infections. It may be used from a nebulizing diffuser, or on the acupressure/reflexology points of the feet associated with the illness.

Hyssop oil's primary use in aromatherapy has been for respiratory and digestive complaints, and externally for rheumatism, bruises, sores, earache and toothache. It has also been used to regulate blood pressure and as a general nerve tonic relieving states of anxiety or hysteria. Hyssop is listed in the current British Herbal Pharmacopoeia for bronchitis and the common cold.

Jasmine is native to Iran, India and China. It is a shrub with abundant clusters of small white, star shaped flowers. The fragrance of the flowers is strong and heady and intensifies at sundown. Over 80% of perfumes produced today include jasmin as one of the ingredients. The traditional method used to extract the oil is called Enfleurage but being a complicated and labor intensive way, it is now normally extracted with the aid of volatile solvents. The oil produced is called absolute and is not a pure essential oil due to a minute amount of the sovent remaining. This in no way effects the quality of the oil.

Jasmine has long been regarded as an oil particularly good for women. Traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic medicine both use it extensively for female related problems. A few drops of jasmine oil in the bath can ease period pains, PMS symptoms and menopausal problems. Jasmine oil is very popular in Aromatherapy due to it being uplifting and relieving stress, anxiety, and worry. Added to massage oil it can relieve muscular spams and sprains. Inhaled it is a great relief for catarral coughs and sore throats. Jasmine is a known aphrodisiac and in many parts of the world, women rub a little oil or rub the flowers into their hair before going out for that special evening. The natural oil in the hair will maintain the jasmin perfume for hours.

Additional Details:

An evergreen shrub or tree up to 6m high with bluish-green stiff needles. It has small flowers and berries which are green in the first year, black in second and third. Essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the berries. Although these valuable berries are produced from a native shrub, the berries of commerce are chiefly collected from plants cultivated in Hungary. But the rise in the price of foreign oil of Juniper berries since the outbreak of war has directed attention to the possible extended production of the oil either in Great Britain or Europe or Canada. Sunny slopes are likely to be the best places to cultivate the shrub for the berries. The yield of oil, however, varies considerably in different years.
