Agarwood is basically a herb which is derived from the Aquilaria tree and the tree is largely grown in Southeast Asian region. Such trees are largely being allocated by mother nature, in countries like India, Thailand, Malaysia and eastwards to Papua New Guinea. Originally, the wood is pretty bright in shade and texture, ultra soft and is originally without any scented resins being present thereby. But, when any cattle grazing, insect bites or any microbial invasion occurs, the “Agarwood” takes the shape as a reaction to it and at the affected part of that trunk. Hence, in the form of a defensive reaction, a fragrant discolouration spreads within the heart of the tree which is often referred to as the Heartwood. As such, the Agarwood is widely hailed and an immensely prized natural product and its use in the formulation of fragrances is pretty widespread. In other but more precise words, Agarwood truck is widely used in the making of incense, medicines, aromatherapy and during other cultural religious ceremonies. In case of its rich legacy, it has a rich legacy which dates back to thousands of years and as per newly conducted research, such a versatile herb is also found to be immensely useful in treating cancer and other respiratory disorders and then scores of Chinese traditional medicines use this extensively. Furthermore, the wood is also utilized to carve out boxes, beads of rosary and necklaces and for simply creating sculptures.
